	We set up Travel Counsellors in 1994 but before that we were an independent agency on the high street. We know what it takes to operate a traditional travel agency business and more importantly what it takes to develop this from home, or an office away from the high street. Chairman David Speakman is the pioneer of the home based travel agent concept. He is an ardent champion of the customer. It was his vision that saw Travel Counsellors UK introduce a Financial Trust to guarantee all client money in 2004 and he has spoken at a number of high profile seminars on customer service. Recognition of his high standing in the travel industry came in 2006 when he was one of the first recipients of the prestigious travel industry Lifetime Achievement Awards. We have appeared in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 list for years in succession We received a CBI Growing Business Award (2005) for use of Technology We are the only UK travel agency to receive a Queen’s Award (2003 – 2008) Guardian Award We have over 700 Travel Counsellors who are testament to our success.
